"India 2020, a Fiction?"is a compelling short experimental film that delves into the idea of coexistence in India. By intentionally blurring the lines between documentary and fiction, the film empowers viewers to choose their interpretation: if they connect with the portrayal of India presented, it stands as a documentary; if they find it lacking, it transforms into a fictional narrative. This unique approach invites personal reflection on identity and belonging. The project was developed as part of my Graduation thesis at the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad (NID), with the support of a prestigious grant from the NID Ford Foundation, which facilitated the exploration of this innovative concept.
